im lingerie launches new boutique at Crown Melbourne
If you think the ladies at the V&S show have a thing for lingerie, then you would be correct!
And as luck would have it, im Lingerie celebrated its return to Crown Melbourne in spectacular style last week, hosting an exquisite soiree and fashion vignettes showcasing the finest in luxurious undergarments.
And S and I were some of the lucky few invited along and of course we as always we bring you back the low down!
In what was a tres glamorous evening of French champagne, live entertainment and the finest Italian and French lingerie on show, special guests including Pia Grace Moon, Dan O’Connor and Tommy Little were among the first to enjoy a sneak preview of the new and internationally renowned collections at the im Boutique, while being treated to a selection of fine canapés.
The event was hosted by Crown’s Ann Peacock (love that lady… but more on that later)
A series of three fashion moments took place throughout the evening, themed: ‘Innocence’, ‘Desire’ and ‘Romance’. Headlined by some of Melbourne’s leading models, the shows presented a distinct collection of lingerie and undergarments for women and men predominantly from fashion powerhouses in France and Italy.
Some of the labels featured in the shows included Lise Charmel, Aubade, Ritratti, Parah, Christies, Naory and La Perla among others, with the opulent ranges boasting brassieres, undergarments, sleepwear, accessories and corsetry with laces made on 19th century looms. Guests were also lucky enough to be able to view award winning pieces from Paladini, which was awarded “Creator of the Year” at Paris’ Salon International de la Lingerie.
Im Lingerie also surprised guests by launching the new Aubade fragrance, which is exclusive to them and arrived in Australia just two hours before the soiree. Le Parfum Aubade features romantic and sensual notes of sweet almond, freesia, lily of the valley and rose, and is yet to be launched in Europe.
With boutiques in Sydney, the Gold Coast and Collins Place Melbourne, im Lingerie has returned to the fashion precinct and secured the coveted site on Lower Ground Level between Versace and Hugo Boss. A third local site will also open in the coming months at the much anticipated Emporium, in Melbourne’s CBD.
